Botswana is in discussions with the United States to further cut or remove tariffs on its exports, the government said in a statement.
"These discussions aim to address the specific concerns of both parties and strengthen bilateral trade ties," the Ministry of Trade and Entrepreneurship noted.
The ministry added that the talks come amid a shifting global trade landscape and that further adjustments may follow, with timely updates to be provided.
Tariffs on Botswana’s goods were lowered to 15% on August 7, down from 37% announced in April.
