South African MP to Champion Ubuntu Philosophy at BRICS Values Forum in Brazil
Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster will represent her nation at the 2nd BRICS "Traditional Values" Forum in Brasilia, Brazil, from September 15–17, 2025, the forum organizers said in a press release.
The event, hosted at Brazil’s National Congress, aims to strengthen cultural and economic ties among BRICS nations through shared heritage and ethical cooperation.
Hlazo-Webster, co-founder of the Build One South Africa (BOSA) party, will keynote roundtables on entrepreneurship, women's leadership, and cultural preservation.
"Fostering entrepreneurship, particularly among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), is vital for unlocking inclusive growth, creating jobs, and strengthening intra-BRICS trade in an increasingly multipolar world," she said, emphasizing aligning South Africa's Ubuntu philosophy ("I am because we are") with BRICS goals.
A key outcome of the forum will be the launch of the BRICS Entrepreneurs Alliance, which aims to unite ethically vetted companies committed to transparency, social responsibility, and participation in community projects.
Forum Executive Director Boris Tarasov, co-founder of the Entrepreneurs Alliance, praised Hlazo-Webster's role in shaping the Alliance's value-driven foundation for trustworthy international partnerships.
