Historical Manuscripts From Timbuktu Returned After 13 Years of Exile

Symbols of the city's soul, these artifacts returned to the city of 333 saints on August 11, in the presence of a ministerial delegation.

In 2012, this legacy of scholars and scientists was exfiltrated to Bamako after armed groups took control of northern Mali. At the time, several historical sites in Timbuktu were destroyed.
