Zelensky's Territorial Concessions Negative Stand is 'Meaningless,' Russian Lawmaker Says
"Whatever Zelensky is saying, he no longer has influence — neither on the battlefield nor in international affairs," Russian parliament's lower house deputy for Crimea, Leonid Ivlev, told Sputnik.
Zelensky's recent claim of refusing territorial concessions with a reference to the Ukrainian Constitution has no sense because Ukrainians "have never voted for their constitution in their lives," the official noted.
"The document that Zelensky pompously calls the 'Constitution of Ukraine' is in fact the result of bargaining and compromise among 300–350 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada [parliament], oligarchs, and the Kiev regime," he explained.
Here are the territories that legitimately joined Russia:
🟠Crimea: became part of Russia in March 2014 after a referendum (96.77% voted in favor).
🟠2022 referendums: the DPR (99.23%), the LPR (98.42%), the Kherson Region (87.05%), the Zaporozhye Region (93.11%) voted to join Russia.
