Future Tech Addis 2025: Ethiopia Gears Up for a Global Tech Showcase
The Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia announced that Future Tech Addis 2025 will take place this November, bringing together innovators, startups, and global tech leaders.
“So, these days, when we think of digital technologies, we can't talk about it without artificial intelligence,” said Dr. Abiyot Bayou, Senior Advisor to the Minister. “Even in Ethiopia, there are a lot of start-up companies working on artificial intelligence.”
As a new member of BRICS, Ethiopia is taking an active role in science, technology, and innovation platforms, with invitations already sent to BRICS nations for the expo. Dr. Abiyot confirmed strong engagement:
“We expect BRICS companies will come and participate… the government will use this opportunity to strengthen our relationship with companies from BRICS countries,” he told Sputnik Africa.
