Next week has been designated as the benchmark for the meeting between Putin and Trump, but it is difficult to say how many days the preparations will take, the Russian president's aide said.
The venue of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump has been agreed on, and the Kremlin will inform about it later, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said on Thursday.
"Now, together with our US colleagues, we are starting to work out the specific parameters of this meeting and the venue," Ushakov said, adding "I would like to note that the venue was also agreed upon in principle, and we will inform you about it later."
Next week is designated as benchmark for Putin-Trump meeting, but it is difficult to say how many days preparations will take, Ushakov added.
US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff touched on idea of a trilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky, but Moscow left it without any comment, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov added.
"It is already well known that yesterday, immediately after the Witkoff report, Trump called a number of leading European partners and talked with them about this," the diplomat recalled.
"This meeting was businesslike, it was constructive, and I think both sides can be satisfied with the outcome of the conversation. Considerations on further joint work in the context of resolving the Ukrainian crisis were discussed," Ushakov said.
Russian-US relations can be built according to a completely different, mutually beneficial scenario, significantly different from how they have developed in recent years, Ushakov added.
Russia informs friends and partners about the results of the meeting between Putin and Witkoff, he added.
However, the Turkish presidential administration told Sputnik that there is no information on the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Trump in Turkey next week.
