Peace or Surrender? Armenian Diaspora Skeptical of Upcoming AccordThere is likely no possibility of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Michel Abrahamian, a member of the Armenian diaspora in France, told Sputnik Africa. The signing of a peace agreement is expected tomorrow in Washington, and "it's not a possibility of peace, it's a nibbling away," he argued. He drew a parallel between the Armenian Prime Minister and the French President. For Abrahamian, Armenia's dependence on the West is a dead end. Peace or Surrender? Armenian Diaspora Skeptical of Upcoming Accord
There is likely no possibility of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Michel Abrahamian, a member of the Armenian diaspora in France, told Sputnik Africa.
The signing of a peace agreement is expected tomorrow in Washington, and "it's not a possibility of peace, it's a nibbling away," he argued.
"I am ashamed for the Armenians, they elected such a fellow, but I understand that there was a kind of coup. We must not hide these things. There were movements, fomented in favor of Pashinyan, which were not neutral, aimed at weakening the pro-Russian leaders of Armenia, as they have tried to do in various places, notably in Ukraine," Abrahamian said.
He drew a parallel between the Armenian Prime Minister and the French President.
"Pashinyan behaves a bit like Macron does for France; he is a destroyer," he stressed.
For Abrahamian, Armenia's dependence on the West is a dead end. "Armenia's sovereignty is threatened anyway," he warned, pointing to the distrust of a West that is seen as unreliable.
