Zimbabwe on Track for 6% Growth in 2025 Despite Global Turbulence, Finance Minister Says
All economic sectors are projected to grow, even amid declining international mineral prices and a "subdued" global economic environment, Mthuli Ncube told parliament in his mid-year budget and economic review speech.
Key drivers of the positive outlook:
🟠Better-than-expected agricultural season;
🟠Increased electricity generation at Kariba Hydro-Power Station;
🟠Stable exchange rate and low inflation;
🟠Sustained macroeconomic stability.

Moreover, Zimbabwe's forecast outpaces the SADC average GDP growth projected at 2.8% in 2025, the official emphasized.
"The country has enjoyed economic stability during the first half of the year. […] Both the fiscal and monetary authorities are going to stay the course. We all understand the costs and pain of instability, so we cannot afford any policy slippages," he stated.
