'Europe's Militarization is Effectively Becoming Uncontrollable,' Russia's Lavrov Says
"The situation is deeply alarming, and the OSCE is unlikely to be of any real help," the foreign minister said in an article published in a Russian newspaper.
Europe has "sunk into a frenzy of Russophobia," he emphasized.
The top diplomat pointed to Germany as an example, where there are growing calls to rearm the country, reinstate universal military conscription, and build the strongest army in Europe.
Moreover, Germany's defense minister has publicly expressed willingness to kill Russian soldiers, Lavrov noted.
"Amid the West’s aggressive campaign against Russia, the OSCE has failed in its mission to support international efforts against terrorism, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and other forms of transnational organized crime, as well as in promoting international information security," he added.
