NASA Administrator Sean Duffy also expressed a desire to continue cooperation with Roscosmos despite geopolitical tensions, as it is crucial for the ISS safety and joint technological progress, Dmitry Bakanov said.
For his part, the Roscosmos chief proposed Duffy expand cooperation in those projects that are not subject to sanctions.
"We agreed that we will jointly operate the ISS until 2028, and the deorbiting will be carried out up to and including 2030," he told Sputnik.
The meeting between Bakanov and Duffy marked the first talks in eight years between the heads of the Russian and US space agencies.
