Sputnik news agency's parent company, Rossiya Segodnya media group held a SputnikPro workshop for journalists from IOL, one of South Africa's largest portals, for the first time.
Egor Arkhipov, Head of the AI Project at the Video Production Directorate, shared insights on how artificial intelligence tools optimize video creation, and which neural networks are used for scriptwriting, sound processing, and visual components.
In his welcoming speech, IOL CEO Viasen Soobramoney highlighted: “We collaborate with Rossiya Segodnya media group across various fields and are excited to now join the SputnikPro project. Artificial intelligence remains a key focus for our development, and this workshop will enable us to enhance our proficiency in its application.”
Commenting on the event, Egor Arkhipov said:
“While discussing this topic with IOL representatives, I aimed to reveal new possibilities in video production for specialists from South Africa. I hope this workshop has not only helped improve the quality and speed of their content creation but also enabled them to adapt it to the needs of the local market.”
