Escaping Conditional Aid: Africa Shifts Toward Russia to Build Multipolar World Order, SA Scholar Says
"Africa is a geopolitical battlefield," and many Western powers, including the US, have "a strong footprint" on the continent," Dr. Ntsikelelo Breakfast of the Nelson Mandela University told Sputnik Africa.
With the development of new payment systems linking Russia and Africa, the continent can ease its reliance on Western funding, which often comes with conditions, the expert noted.
