Second ministerial conference of Russia-Africa planned to be held this year in Egypt, Lavrov says
"We focused on preparations for the second [Russia-Africa] ministerial forum, which is scheduled to be held this autumn in Egypt," Lavrov told reporters after a meeting with his Mozambican counterpart.
Moreover, Russia appreciates Mozambique's objective position when discussing the topic of Ukraine at the UN, Lavrov added.
All attempts to incite Kiev to commit terrorist acts will receive an adequate response, Moscow will achieve all its goals, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"Constant incitement of the Kiev regime to continue provocations, continue terrorist acts against civilian objects, against peaceful citizens of Russia ... these actions do not stop. Of course, they will receive a worthy rebuff. Russia will achieve all those goals," Lavrov told reporters following talks with his counterpart from Mozambique.
Lavrov expressed hope that US leader Trump's reasonable approach, including his readiness for dialogue, will not go unnoticed in Europe.
"I very much hope that the reasonable approach that the Trump administration is showing in this situation after it replaced the [former US President Joe] Biden administration, which spoke in unison with the rabid Europeans, that this reasonable approach, which includes a willingness to dialogue, a willingness to listen and hear, will not go unnoticed by the Europeans, despite all the current discussions about the need to arm the Kiev regime again and again at the expense of European taxpayers," Lavrov said at a press conference following the talks with his Mozambican counterpart Maria Manuela Lucas in Moscow.
Mozambican President Daniel Chapo plans to visit Russia, Foreign Minister Maria Manuela Lucas said.
"The new president, who came to power on January 15, Daniel Chapo, also plans to visit Russia," Lucas said at a press conference following the talks.
Everything that was stolen from Africa must be returned to Africa, it is a question of economic and political independence, she replied to the question from Sputnik Africa.
Earlier in the day, Lucas held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
