Russia Builds Southward: Africa Among Key Targets for Infrastructure Push

Russia’s largest full-cycle construction holding, Natsproektstroy (NPS), is exploring opportunities to take part in major infrastructure projects across Africa, the CIS, the Middle East, and Mongolia, according to CEO and co-owner Alexey Krapivin in an interview with a Russian media outlet.

“We intend to expand our presence in all regions where we are welcomed, and there are many such regions. I place significant emphasis on international projects,” Krapivin stated.

He noted that Africa could become a key part of NPS’s agenda—including not only Arab nations but also trans-Saharan projects—as part of a broader effort to deepen ties with friendly countries.

“We are simply obligated to be present in friendly countries,” the CEO added.

He noted that the Russian holding is engaged in projects focused on railway equipment production and automation systems.
