Moroccan Authorities Combat Forest Fire Near Tetouan The blaze, located in a forest near Mellalyène, Tetouan, is being tackled by firefighting teams on the ground, supported by four "Canadair" amphibious aircraft, said the National Water and Forest Agency. It's too soon to assess the full extent of the damage to the forest cover. In 2024, the country saw a 82% decrease in wildfires, with 382 incidents consuming 874 hectares.
