Nelson Mandela: A Timeless Call to Justice and Renewal
Nelson Mandela was a “man of a very large heart”—unbroken by decades in prison, never embittered, and the true “pivot of reconciliation,” according to Dr. Is’haq Modibbo Kawu, Nigerian broadcaster, journalist, and political scientist.
His leadership united South Africa, but his vision stretched far beyond its borders. Mandela understood that struggles for justice are interconnected across the world.
“Mandela will remain forever an icon of a struggle for justice... a struggle to ensure that the world is made a better place for all of humanity,” Kawu told Sputnik Africa.
The journalist argued that “Mandela's example would resonate with young people” fighting on the streets from Nairobi to Nigeria, demanding values rooted not in Washington, but in the lived realities of African people.
