🟠Tariffs that Trump plans to impose on South African goods may lead to the loss of around 100,000 jobs, Central Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago said;

🟠France will formally hand over its last military bases in Senegal on Thursday, leaving the French army with no permanent camps in West and Central Africa;

🟠South African state-owned power utility Eskom aims to switch from its current fleet of coal-fired power plants to clean energy by 2040;

🟠South Sudanese President Salva Kiir called for an end to sanctions and an arms embargo imposed on the country after the conflict erupted in December 2013;
