Russian troops liberated Novokhatskoye in the DPR, the Defense Ministry reported
The liberation opened the way to another section of the republic's border with the Dnepropetrovsk region, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Russian Civic Chamber's commission on sovereignty issues and co-chairman of the coordinating council for the integration of new regions, told Sputnik.
The village of Novokhatskoye is located near the villages of Novoukrainka, Yalta, Zaporozhye, Tolstoy, and Poddubnoye, which, as the Russian Defense Ministry previously reported, have already been liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The offensive of the Russian armed forces in the Dnepropetrovsk region is an effort to create a buffer zone, according to the Kremlin.
