Egypt, Qatar & Israel Reportedly Discuss Humanitarian Aid Access to Gaza
Cairo is hosting meetings between Egyptian, Qatari, and Israeli officials to coordinate humanitarian aid flow, patient evacuations, and exit of stranded expats from Gaza, an Egyptian broadcaster reported, citing sources.
The talks — part of Egypt's ongoing mediation efforts — have seen progress on several humanitarian issues, according to sources.
Meanwhile, Israel-Hamas ceasefire talks resumed in Doha on July 6 but reportedly stalled. Earlier, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said mediators were pushing for a 60-day truce and the release of Israeli hostages.
Despite last week’s agreement between Israel and the EU to boost aid flows into Gaza — including more trucks and reopened crossings — the actual aid flow has not increased, Abdelatty told reporters Monday.
