Russia, China Should Strengthen Mutual Support at Multilateral Platforms, Xi Jinping Says
The Chinese leader called Russian FM Lavrov an old friend of the Chinese people and welcomed his visit to China to participate in the SCO Foreign Ministers Council.
"The foreign ministries of the two countries should continue to effectively implement the important agreements reached by me and President Vladimir Putin, strengthen mutual support and cooperation at multilateral platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," Xi Jinping said.
He also noted the need to protect the security and development interests of the two countries.
