Businessman Samvel Karapetyan, currently under arrest in Armenia, has announced the creation of a new political force in the republic.
"We have our own vision for building a prosperous future for Armenia. We will follow our own path, with our new team, while not excluding political cooperation with like-minded individuals."
Earlier, Karapetyan had voiced support for the Armenian Apostolic Church — currently in conflict with the government. Just hours later, he was arrested on charges of “calling for the seizure of power.”
