African Skies Unite: Nigeria & Ethiopia Eye UAV Co-Production
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reinforced regional defense ties with the Ethiopian Air Force, paving the way for joint aerospace projects, according to a statement by the NAF.
Key outcomes of NAF's high-level visit to Ethiopia:
🟠Outlined plans for shared pilot/technician training, collaborative research, and fully indigenous African UAV development;
🟠Expanded technical cooperation, especially in overhauling certain jets and helicopters;
🟠Agreed pathways for doctrinal exchange and joint programs;
🟠NAF invited Ethiopian officers for advanced training in Nigeria.
"This strategic partnership […] reflects a broader aspiration: African nations working together to unlock the continent's full aerospace potential through collaboration, innovation, and shared values," the statement read.
