Technology – ‘Copy It, Learn It, Utilize It,’ Ghana’s Labor Minister Urges Africa
“The world's technology is not just for the people who develop it. The world's technology is there for everybody. […] Get yourself educated. Get to understand it. Utilize it in your own country,” Minister Rashid Pelpuo told Sputnik Africa.
He challenges Africa to stop begging for what it can create, urging nations to learn from China, Japan, and Europe:
“They [the West] copy what is there. Beautify it and utilize it according to the needs of the environment,” he said on the sidelines of the 3rd Africa Job Creation Forum in Addis Ababa.
Watch the video to find out what the minister calls “the most painful thing that you can find in any human life.”

“We need to stand as a people, work as a people, [and] reach a destination so our people cannot be dying trying to reach Europe. It’s unacceptable. We must be happy here,” Minister Rashid Pelpuo told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the 3rd Africa Job Creation Forum in Addis Ababa.
‘We Are Not There as Servants’: Ghana’s Labor Minister on Africa’s Place in BRICS
“This feeling that somebody has to support Africa must stop. We have to work together. We are colleagues. We are nations, sovereign nations that have sovereign rights,” Minister Rashid Pelpuo told Sputnik Africa.
He emphasized Africa’s rightful place in global partnerships:
“We are there [in BRICS] as equal partners seeking to develop each other's countries,” Pelpuo said on the sidelines of the 3rd Africa Job Creation Forum in Addis Ababa.
