The Russian army has liberated the settlement of Tolstoy in the DPR, the Defense Ministry reported
Tolstoy is located near the border with Dnepropetrovsk region, where Russian troops are advancing.
The settlement is next to the villages of Novoukrainka, Yalta, Zaporozhye and Poddubnoye, which, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, have already been liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the Kremlin, the offensive of the Russian armed forces in the Dnepropetrovsk region is part of efforts to create a buffer zone.
