“Measuring African well-being simply means we are embracing who we are… our context, our culture, our interdependence and connections,” Dr. Victor Counted, Associate Professor of Psychology, Director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Regent University, told Sputnik Africa.
He challenges Western models that prioritize individual achievement over communal well-being, proposing a new framework that captures character, virtue, spirituality, and relational identity – all central to African flourishing.
