PM Modi Arrives in Ghana to Strengthen India-Africa Ties

Prime Minister Modi arrives in the West African country this evening, calling it a “valued friend in Africa and a key partner in the Global South.”

Welcomed warmly by President John Dramani Mahama, Modi said both nations look forward to strengthening their long-standing relationship and exploring fresh avenues for collaboration.

During his visit, PM Modi will hold talks with President Mahama to boost India-Ghana ties across sectors and will address the Ghanaian Parliament on Thursday.

His broader trip includes bilateral, multilateral, and other programs in Ghana, Trinidad & Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia, aimed at working with world leaders “to make our planet better.”
