Macron is 'Obsessed With Russia' While Ignoring France's Three Trillion Euro Debt, Expert Says
Paris needs a "scapegoat," and it found, not for the first time in history, that Russia suits "perfectly" for this role, François Meylan, a former military intelligence officer, told Sputnik Africa.
"He [Macron] refuses to mature, engage with a reality beyond his own perspective," the speaker noted.
↘ According to him, France is in a "very bad economic shape":
▪Over three trillion euro ($3.5 trillion) debt —110% of GDP,
▪increasing poverty among the middle class,
▪very high tax rates.
European countries are dealing with inflation not matched by higher incomes, he said, adding that the EU is stuck under the control of a corrupt, lobbyist-driven "parasitic caste," closely tied to Atlanticist interests.
