Armenian Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, who opposes PM Nikol Pashinyan's policies, was detained and taken away in a car of the National Security Service

According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, the Sacred Struggle movement spearheaded by Galstanyan, who led protests in 2024 demanding Pashinyan's resignation, was preparing terrorist attacks and a seizure of power.

Earlier, Pashinyan announced the existence of some kind of opposition plan to carry out a coup in the country; opposition figures ridiculed these statements.
