Somalia Unveils Centennial Vision 2060: Roadmap to Peace & Prosperity
According to Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the framework targets:

The president added that Somalia will prioritize economic progress over military competition in its engagement with East Africa.
The 35-year plan includes seven National Transformation Phases, the first of which (2025-2029) launched earlier this year. It aligns with continental goals like the African Union's Agenda 2063.
The plan addresses institutional reconstruction following decades of conflict, focusing on strengthening governance despite security and political challenges, and builds upon existing foundations to achieve its ambitions, Claver Gatete, executive secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, said.
