Moscow is Ready to Transfer to Kiev 3,000 More Bodies of Ukrainian Soldiers, Russia's Chief Negotiator Says
Russia is ready to do it if Kiev is ready to accept the bodies, Vladimir Medinsky noted.
"We have them in refrigerators. Our military will hand them over so that relatives and families can definitively identify and bury them Christianly," the official told the RT broadcaster.
On Monday, Medinsky said that Russia had handed over to Ukraine 6,060 bodies of dead officers and soldiers, and in return, it received bodies of 78 dead Russian servicemen from Ukraine.
The process of the fallen soldiers' handover faced delays when Ukraine unexpectedly did not accept the bodies on June 7, with transfer starting on June 11.
