Russia Relaunches Bauxite Mining in Guinea-Bissau
A "forgotten" sector is being brought back to life thanks to Russian cooperation, Malam Sambu, the country's Minister of Natural Resources, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the #SPIEF2025.
"Russia has really boosted this sector. [...] There has been a lot of research in the mining sector. This is all thanks to the boost, the massive intervention of Rusal, a Russian company," he said.
The Russian giant also supports training, having already awarded scholarships to 70 students, the minister emphasized.
