South Africa's Deputy President Set to Visit Russia to Bolster Diplomacy and Economic Ties
Paul Mashatile will be on a working visit to Russia between June 16 and 21, a statement on South Africa's cabinet meeting said.
The visit aims to:
⦁ solidify economic partnerships;
⦁ explore new avenues for cooperation;
⦁ advance peace between Russia and Ukraine.
"South Africa advocates for a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and continues to play a role as a neutral arbiter," the statement noted.
