Hungary, Georgia Resist Brussels' Blackmail, PM Orban Says
"Like the Hungarians, the Georgians are also fighting to be able to decide their own destiny and not become expendable pawns in other people's wars," Viktor Orban said on social media.
Hungary and Georgia are open to mutual cooperation to make up for the damage "caused by the war and sanctions."
"Brussels blackmail here, Ukrainian threats there, we will develop, grow and become stronger," Hungary's PM emphasized.
On Tuesday, Budapest saw protests against Hungary’s new law banning foreign funding for NGOs and media, with demonstrators flying EU and LGBT flags. Similar protests occurred earlier in Georgia over a nearly identical law modeled on US legislation.
