'Bringing Back the Olden Days to the Present': Nigeria Celebrated Ojude-Oba Cultural Festival

A vibrant and colorful festival symbolizing the unity and culture of the Ijebu people took place in southwestern Nigeria. A traditional highlight of the celebration is horsemanship.

The phrase "Ojude-Oba" translates from the Yoruba language as "The King's Forecourt." In the past, the festival was held on the third day after Eid al-Adha. At that time, horses and weapons played a significant role in people's lives.
