Zimbabwe Advances MICE Tourism With Private Sector Investment
MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism is key to economic growth, Tourism Minister Barbara Rwodzi told local media.
She called for investment in large-scale facilities and confirmed close collaboration with Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube and the Treasury to prioritize infrastructure development for the MICE tourism sector.
Private sector players, including Bethel Suites Operations Manager Tariro Mtamangira, "are capitalizing on various Government initiatives to invest in conference facilities."
She noted that more hotels and conference centers are needed to meet rising demand and support related industries like hospitality and catering.
