‘A Breath of Fresh Air’: Zimbabwe Hails Russia’s Growing Role in Africa
It’s a welcome shift in global geopolitics, said Tafadzwa Muguti, Secretary for Presidential Affairs and Devolution in Zimbabwe.
“I think the coming of Russia in this new generation of geopolitics has been a welcome move,” Muguti told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the Global Digital Forum in Russia.
He commended Russia's ability to “replace all Western technology… within a space of 90 days” and emphasized its non-domineering approach:
“Russia is not coming to Africa… just selling what they can sell to us. But they're coming with an aspect of research and development.”
