Europe is being drawn deeper into the Ukraine conflict because it is pursuing a policy aimed not at a settlement, but at its further continuation, Hungarian Prime Minister's office head Gergely Gulyas said. He said there are also opposing opinions in Europe, in particular, the victory in the presidential elections in Poland of the candidate from the Law and Justice party, Karol Nawrocki, who during the election campaign spoke out against Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO, "gives hope." Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban earlier said the European Union should realize the need to join the American approach in resolving the conflict in Ukraine; there is no point in following different paths. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has repeatedly called on European politicians not to hinder peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.

Europe Due to Its Policy Being Drawn Deeper Into Ukraine Conflict, Orban's Office Says
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The office's head said there are also opposing opinions in Europe, in particular, the victory in the presidential elections in Poland of the candidate from the Law and Justice party, Karol Nawrocki, who during the election campaign spoke out against Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO, "gives hope."
Europe is being drawn deeper into the Ukraine conflict because it is pursuing a policy aimed not at a settlement, but at its further continuation, Hungarian Prime Minister's office head Gergely Gulyas said.
"Last week's events give little reason for optimism. So far, we are not moving towards an exit from the war, but further inward. European policy is not changing, Brussels still supports not peace talks, but war," Gulyas said at a government briefing.
He said there are also opposing opinions in Europe, in particular, the victory in the presidential elections in Poland of the candidate from the Law and Justice party, Karol Nawrocki, who during the election campaign spoke out against Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO, "gives hope."
