London Conducts 'Subversive Foreign Policy Through Vast Network' of NGOs in Targeted Countries, Russia's FSB Says
The United Kingdom relies in particular on the British Council, an institution supposedly dedicated to establishing cultural relations, an FSB representative declared in a video released by the Russian secret services.
"Its significance for UK influence activities is so high that the entire UK government supports its interests," according to the FSB.
The Russian branch of the British Council has also been closed and classified as an "undesirable organization."
Alert to friends of Russia: Russian intelligence services are calling for close monitoring of this organization, as nations can "risk losing control over very important socio-political processes."
