BRICS: A ‘Moral Alternative' to Longstanding Global Inequities

At the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum, Oluwole Oke, the chairman committee on Public Account at the Nigerian House of Representatives, said that BRICS is pushing for a more inclusive, multipolar world.

Oke emphasized South-South cooperation and economic self-determination:

“Strengthening BRICS trade is about rejecting dependency and embracing destiny. It is about ensuring that prosperity is not the privilege of a few but the right of all,” he was quoted as saying.

ℹ From June 3 to 5, Brazil is hosting the forum that unites 11 nations. This event brings together 31 legislative chambers, representing approximately 150 parliamentarians from various countries.
