SADC and AfDB Unite for $22.6 Million Economic Boost
Held alongside the 2025 AfDB Annual Meetings themed “Making Africa’s Capital Work Better for Africa’s Development,” the discussions centered on leveraging Africa’s resources for sustainable growth.
4⃣ Key talks between SADC Executive Secretary Elias Magosi and AfDB VP Nnenna Nwabufo focused on four strategic projects under SADC’s RISDP 2020–2030—targeting fisheries governance, trade facilitation, macroeconomic convergence, and regional financial integration.
Additional priorities included customs streamlining, cross-border value chains, industrial skills development, and coordinated border management.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation, particularly in support of the SADC Regional Development Fund.
