Magnitude 5.8 Earthquake Strikes Southwest of Turkey The epicenter of the earthquake was located offshore, some ten kilometers off the Turkish coast, near the seaside resort of Marmaris. A 14-year-old girl died in Fethiye after suffering a panic attack during evacuation. Some 70 people were injured as they fled to safety.
