Transforming Chad Into African Development Model
The government has adopted a "Chad Connection 2030" plan to transform the country:
$30 billion in investments: 241 projects and reforms aimed at boosting GDP by 60%;
Universal access: access to drinking water for 11 million people, 60% electrification by solar power (90% in cities), and 80% internet coverage;
🩺Education and healthcare: primary school enrollment at 80%, secondary school enrollment at 60%, and life expectancy reaching 60 years;
A diversified economy: doubling agricultural production, a thriving export-oriented livestock industry, a mining sector contributing 5% to GDP, and tripling non-oil exports;
Resilience: climate strategy, tourism, roads, and disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration programs.
