Africa's Concern is Not Aid Cuts — But Unfairness of Global Financial Institutions, Outgoing AfDB President Says
"If African countries were rated properly, equitably, they would be paying $75 billion less every year in debt servicing," Akinwumi Adesina stated to a British media outlet.
The future of Africa is going to come from investment, not aid, he added. "I don't want freebies—I want Africa to develop with pride," the president emphasized.
According to Adesina, the stereotype that investing in Africa is highly risky is not true.
Why?
🟠Africa is the biggest greenfield investment frontier in the world.
🟠The continent has the lowest investment loss rates in the world.
