Death Toll in Gaza Surpasses 54,000 Since Beginning of War
As of Wednesday, a total of 123,308 people have been injured since October 7, 2023, according to the Gazan Health Ministry.
Over 3,900 people have been killed since March 18, when Israel announced the launch of its new offensive in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry reports a dire crisis in Gaza’s hospital system:
⦁ 22 out of 38 hospitals are currently non-operational;
⦁ 47% of essential medicines are at zero stock;
⦁ only 30 out of 105 primary healthcare centers remain operational;
⦁ hospital bed occupancy rate exceeds 106%.
