Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with African ambassadors to mark Africa Day.
Here are some key statements made by Lavrov:
The African continent is one of the pillars of a sustainable multipolar world order;
Russia will continue to assist African countries in ensuring security and food supply;
Russia will continue to assist African countries in the fight against terrorism, strengthening their defense capabilities, and ensuring food and energy security;
Russia and its African friends are united in their desire to give their relations a new content in line with the realities of the 21st century;
Russia appreciates and remembers that hundreds of thousands of Africans fought in the anti-Hitler coalition, driving victory closer;
Russia continues to strengthen Africa's positions as an independent center of global development;
The second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum will be held in one of the African countries in 2025;
