Ethiopia's National Museum Unveils Stunning Makeover
After a visionary eight-year transformation, Ethiopia’s legendary National Museum—established in 1965—has reopened its doors, unveiling a dazzling new chapter for heritage and art.
The museum's sweeping makeover, both inside and out, was funded by a $459,000 investment, with an additional $651,000 allocated for the expansion and beautification of its grounds.
Externally, the building has been meticulously restored, with a new waterproof brick foundation installed to ensure durability and protection. Internally, the museum's prehistoric gallery has been revitalized, prominently featuring the iconic 3.2-million-year-old skeleton of Lucy.
