BRICS Bank is 'Driver for Algerian Economy': Economist
The New Development Bank will mobilize crucial financing to diversify the economy of Algeria, which has just officially joined the bank, Mohamed Achir, professor at Mouloud Mammeri University in Tizi-Ouzou, told Sputnik Africa.
This will contribute "to the financing of basic infrastructure, especially those related to sustainable development and well-being,"
He explained that Algeria will:
Gain a seat at the board of directors meetings;
Forge new collaborations with BRICS and other beneficiaries of the funding;
Stimulate local projects.
