Rosatom Presents Modern Nuclear Technologies at Enlit Africa 2025 Exhibition in Cape Town
Russia’s state nuclear corporation showcased:
🟠a multimedia presentation on floating power unit (FPU) technologies,
🟠a model of the RITM-200 pressurized water reactor,
🟠solutions for uranium mining using borehole in-situ leaching.
The head of the Rosatom delegation highlighted two anniversaries: 80 years of the Russian nuclear industry and 60 years of South Africa’s SAFARI-1 reactor, underscoring both countries’ commitment to peaceful nuclear development.
ℹ FPUs can address energy shortages in areas with limited infrastructure, providing stable, eco-friendly power to meet Africa’s diverse needs and supporting sustainable development and energy independence.
