South Sudanese President Reshuffles Ruling Party Leadership Amid Security Crisis
President Salva Kiir has restructured the SPLM party leadership:
⦁ promoted Second VP Benjamin Bol Mel to deputy chair;
⦁ demoted three liberation-era veterans, including ex–Second VP James Wani Igga.
"I may be new to the position, but not to the struggle,” Bol Mel said at a swearing-in ceremony.
