And why doesn't ECOWAS speak up when people manipulate constitutions? When opponents are oppressed, why is there no comment from ECOWAS? It's only when situations reach a certain point that statements are released, embargoes are imposed, and military intervention is threatened," he argued. He also confirmed Senegal's intention to strengthen cooperation with Burkina Faso, despite its withdrawal from ECOWAS.“We have 20 agreements in force and 23 more in the process.
